Southern winds blow.Ice crushes beneath feet.Crunch!Crunch!Crunch! The snow sweeps upon the dusty plains. My two crew members and I journey to the south geographic pole.We have been endlessly travelling and it has been twenty-four hours already. We set up camp we eat roasted chicken. The next day we go around a huddle of emperor penguins we can hear the Penguins whispering to each other.Ascending up the mountain but one of my crew members manage to obtain altitude sickness so we are forced to set up camp for a second time! But this was the perfect opportunity to look of the colony of emperor penguins, they were like a big yellow spot exactly like the sun.The effects start fade miraculously,we pack up and head off.My crew and I next meet a colony of elephant seals. These seals were about three times the size of me!Once again we have to set up camp and next day would definitely be the day.The next day we see Amunsden station within our grasp. We hike for a tiny bit longer until we arrive. We stay there for the next days until we had to go back to main base on Macquarie Island.
